Faith 'n Fiction Saturday
My Friend Amy, who brought us Book Blogger Appreciation Week has a new carnival in the works, the Faith 'n Fiction Saturday.
Each week she will post a blogging prompt, which participating bloggers will answer on their own blogs. Then they head back to the original post and sign Mister Linky! This way we can all come to know each other more closely.
What are your reading goals for the new year? Do you have plans to read through the Bible or complete any Bible studies? Do you hope to expand your reading horizons or reread some old favorites? Do you want to read more fiction or non-fiction? Do you want to increase the amount of Christian fiction you read? Do you have any goals for reading as it relates to your blog?
This year I'm not really doing too much in terms of changing my reading habits for any reading goals. I read 242 books last year, and I've already read 3 books so far in 2009. (I started and finished 2 books on Jan 1 and another on the 2nd). I am doing a few challenges such as reading 50 books from my library and also to read 200 books this year. But those I was probably going to do anyways so it's just a matter of actually stating this in writing. I did try to read the Bible all the way through last year and I almost made it, until December when I got swamped with so much stuff and didn't finish. I am going to try reading a devotional this year and I got a new Bible for Christmas, the Message version so I'm excited to read that. There are so many Christian fiction books in my TBR pile that I don't really feel too much of an urge to read anything else other than the occasional YA book. I do need to up the reviews more on my blog, at least not so much cookie cutter posts when I could have reviewed the book.
Other than that I really don't have goals other than to maybe just keep reading more off my TBR pile and less on the library books! Oh yeah and of course get the school reading done first and foremost. :)
