Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica!!!

I just want to say to please forgive the lack of original posts in the next few weeks. It's about to be finals time in school so there are papers, projects and exams that I have to finish up. I haven't had a chance to read in my spare time so I haven't been able to write up new reviews. Don't worry though, because I have a couple contests that are coming up in the next few days. If you don't mind bearing with me until the middle of December and then the blog will be up and running with fresh new reviews for you!

In other quick news, I've just become a HUGE fan of The Office (US version), I watched all 4 seasons and what's been shown of the 5th plus the webisodes all last month. Now I can't wait til Thursday nights for new ones. I am seriously considering going to The Office convention next year in Scranton if all things fall in the right place. I love the show because of the ensemble cast everyone on there is great but my two favorites are Jim (because he's just so darn cute and charming and him and Pam are wonderful!) and Toby (because he's so sad and cute and you just want to make him happy). I'm so glad he's back on the show!

And for all you Jim/Dwight fans out there, this is for you (my favorite is at 3:14)

It's here! Today is my 3 year blogiversary! (Never mind tha t the first entry is marked on 9/20, I had written that post the day after and then backdated it) . I can't believe that I'm still here and blogging away! As al ways, the reason why I started blogging was thanks to Camy Tang's blog which inspired m e to write my own blog. My main goal was to blog about the books I read because I figured I'd like others to know about the good books that were ou t there . I honestly can't believe that it's lasted this long and I hope to keep going strong. I've met so many new friends in the past year alone and I've even gotten to meet several in person and I'm going to meet more next week at the National Book Festival! The Nancy Drew Challenge

Update 12/19: There are now prizes! This is a very personal reading challenge for myself. I have tried EVERY year for the past 15 years (I honestly kid you not) to try to read every one of the original 56 Yellow Spine Nancy Drew books. But every year other obligations or loss of interest cause me to stop after a few books. However I have determined that 2010 is the year I will finally accomplish a goal that has plagued me over half my life. While there are other types of Nancy Drew books out there (Files, Notebooks, Clue Crew, On Campus, River Heights, Girl Detective, Supermysteries with Hardy Boys), I am going to focus on the original Nancy Drew Mystery stories. I have tried reading the original versions from the 1930s, but I just could not get into the language. Therefore this challenge will be spotlighting the revised Yellow Spined hardback books that were reprinted and are universally recognized when you think Nancy Drew.
