Awesome news.....

I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My boyfriend of four years proposed to me today. It was a total shock. I knew he was coming down for the weekend, but when I talked to him today he told me he was still traveling about 2 hours away. I got home from work and opened up the door and there he was, down on one knee with a dozen roses and the ring. First I was confused, then I went into gleeful shock. All I can say is AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! The ring is just gorgeous, a diamond surrounded by two sapphires. I love the color blue and sapphires are my birthstone. It's absolutely perfect. (The pic is kinda blurry b/c we couldn't get the lighting right)
It's a dorky pic of us but that's just how we are. (That and we couldn't get the camera angled just right) We're planning a June wedding for next year.

It's here! Today is my 3 year blogiversary! (Never mind tha t the first entry is marked on 9/20, I had written that post the day after and then backdated it) . I can't believe that I'm still here and blogging away! As al ways, the reason why I started blogging was thanks to Camy Tang's blog which inspired m e to write my own blog. My main goal was to blog about the books I read because I figured I'd like others to know about the good books that were ou t there . I honestly can't believe that it's lasted this long and I hope to keep going strong. I've met so many new friends in the past year alone and I've even gotten to meet several in person and I'm going to meet more next week at the National Book Festival! The Nancy Drew Challenge

Update 12/19: There are now prizes! This is a very personal reading challenge for myself. I have tried EVERY year for the past 15 years (I honestly kid you not) to try to read every one of the original 56 Yellow Spine Nancy Drew books. But every year other obligations or loss of interest cause me to stop after a few books. However I have determined that 2010 is the year I will finally accomplish a goal that has plagued me over half my life. While there are other types of Nancy Drew books out there (Files, Notebooks, Clue Crew, On Campus, River Heights, Girl Detective, Supermysteries with Hardy Boys), I am going to focus on the original Nancy Drew Mystery stories. I have tried reading the original versions from the 1930s, but I just could not get into the language. Therefore this challenge will be spotlighting the revised Yellow Spined hardback books that were reprinted and are universally recognized when you think Nancy Drew.
