Family Squeeze by Phil Callaway and BOOK GIVEAWAY!

I'm giving away 2 brand new copies of today's book! Leave a comment with your email address so I can contact you if you win. I'll pick a name and announce the winners on Tuesday, April 1. Good luck!

You’re in the “Middle Ages”–sandwiched between the “greatest generation” and the “gimme” generations, busily juggling both with no relief in sight. Children are driving, and parents are not. Money is tight and so are your favorite jeans. And things that never ached before are beginning to give you trouble! For every baby boomer who wonders if it’s possible to navigate the Middle Ages with grace and style, Phil Callaway offers plenty of hope and a little hilarity, too. Because there’s nothing like a smile to make wrinkles less noticeable.

In Family Squeeze, the author of Who Put My Life on Fast Forward? and Laughing Matters offers this lighthearted look at the challenges of the middle years — and promises that while we can’t slow down the aging process, we can ease the worries it brings by focusing on what really matters most.

Described as “Dave Barry with a message,” author, speaker, and television host Phil Callaway has written twenty books, many of them bestsellers and is a popular speaker at conferences, camps and marriage retreats, coaxing laughter and tears from audiences worldwide. Of his personal accomplishments he rates the following highest: shutting off the TV to listen to his children’s questions (twice), taking out the garbage without being told (once), and convincing his high school sweetheart Ramona to marry him (once).

Sounds like our lives the last decade. We cared for four ill and dying parents, while having two teans at home. I'd love to read it. Thanks so much. pamelashockley at netscape dot net (aliadam at FR)

  5. Hello! I really would love to win this book. My parents were in their late 30's when they had me. My brother was 14 and my sister 10. I got married and had my children in my thirties. I am definitely one of the sandwich generation. Luckily, my dad is doing well for almost 90! My sister and I share in looking after him. I like the fact that the book has humor in it. Please enter me in your drawing. Thanks,Cindi

  8. I often talk about growing old gracefully and point out when someone is accomplishing it in a certain area of their life. Now it is MY turn and I'd be interested in seeing how best to do it AND at the same time focusing on what is most important. Please enter me. Thanks
